St. George’s is grateful for a generous contribution from the estate of Robert & Matilda Towne Rupp in recognition of Dr. Roy Salem Towne, his wife Alice Towne, and their children Matilda Towne Rupp and Roy Towne.
As relayed in a letter of acknowledgement to Lorna Rupp, estate representative, the Towne family has a long history of worship with St. George’s. Many of Roy and Jane Towne’s children, grandchildren and great grandchildren continue the long tradition of worship with our church family.
St. George’s owes a tremendous thank-you to all contributors who help keep our church a central point of worship and outreach in our community, state, nation and world. The bequests from individuals like Robert & Matilda Towne Rupp are a living legacy that helps sustains God’s outreach to our world. If anyone is interested in making a bequest to our church through a gift or bequest from a retirement account, life insurance, will or other asset, please see a member of our vestry or staff.
