We will discuss the New York Times bestseller book entitled “Recovery – Freedom from Our Addictions“, Steps 1 to 3, in June and will decide on two more meeting dates to complete the book in July/August. This book emphasizes the many unhealthy habits we all use to cover up our unfulfilled lives. A goal for St. George’s in 2022 was to develop more participation in our annual recovery service that is held in the fall. The annual Recovery Worship Service is based on the 12 steps and is a deeply moving service. I encourage you to get the book, read it or listen to it, even if you don’t want to be part of the discussion. I am an addict – addicted to drugs, alcohol, sex, money, love and fame.
